Sheigh Omar, who hails from the Comoros, is a native Arabic speaker, who has a Bachelor of Arts in Da’wah wa Usool ud Deen (the Islamic University of Madina), and a Master’s of Arts degree in Arabic (International Islamic University of Islamabad).

He has been lecturing Arabic from 1998, first at the Darul Arqam Institute and which later became the International Peace College South Africa (IPSA).  He has lectured Conversational Arabic, Arabic Literature, Arabic Grammar, and Rhetoric and has also functioned as a correspondence officer with the Arab World.

He has trained and accompanied students of IPSA to participate in debating in Arabic in Qatar, where they performed well.
